Mission Statement: Here at Dallas Kenpo Karate we strive to produce quality black belts, black belts that have qualities such as dedication, discipline, loyalty, integrity, respect, and confidence. We believe in staying true to the concepts, principles, and theories that Grandmaster Parker created as the foundation of American Kenpo. About Us: At Dallas Kenpo Karate we will provide every student with the proper skills, not only physical, but mental skills to protect themselves in self defense situations. We teach stances, blocks, strikes, kicks, joint locks, takedowns and also how to be aware of your surroundings. Our self defense classes offer students the opportunity to practice their techniques in repetition and in a controlled environment for their bodies to learn muscle memory coordination. We teach the complete Ed Parker system the original twenty-four techniques per belt as opposed to sixteen or less as other schools offer. It may take a little longer to receive belt rank but you will have a larger vocabulary of motion. We also teach our students to improvise with their techniques, which gives them the ability to create their own motion of self-defense. This is the whole idea that Grandmaster Parker had in mind when creating the Kenpo system. We provide a fun, friendly, and safe atmosphere for people to get a great cardio workout, develop muscle tone, and learn coordination skills. We train our students by creating single attacker scenarios, multiple attacker scenarios, and weapon attack scenarios in a controlled environment. If you’re looking for a place to have fun, get a great workout, learn self-defense, and be the best martial artist possible, then give us a call at Dallas Kenpo Karate (972)207-3427. .. |
